Luz Angela is a development cooperation specialist at the Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) of the Organization of American States (OAS). In her role, she oversees projects enhancing economic opportunities for vulnerable communities in Latin America and the Caribbean through the OAS Development Cooperation Fund (OAS/DCF) and coordinates the Management Board of the Inter-American Agency for Cooperation and Development (IACD). She joined the OAS in 2011 as a consultant of the Department of Human Resources where she supported the decision-making processes for the delegates, authorities and representatives of the 34 OAS Member States. Luz Angela holds a Bachelor degree in Government and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia, a Master’s degree in International Development from American University in Washington DC and is Project Management Professional (PMP)® with over fourteen years of experience in the development field working for multilateral organizations in the Western Hemisphere.

Since 2018, Luz Angela has been an active volunteer with OAS FCU, contributing significantly to the Community Relations and Membership Committee. In 2020, she expanded her involvement by joining the Credit Committee. This dual commitment to professional excellence and community service underscores her dedication to positive change and sustainable development in the region.
