“My experience in the areas of banking and accounting will help me to effectively serve the needs of the Credit Union and all of its members.”
My name is Joel Andrews, and I am a citizen of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and I joined the OAS in 1999. Prior to working in the OAS, I worked at Republic Bank Limited as an Accounts Clerk/Teller/Foreign Exchange Specialist.
My duties as Payroll Technician in the Department of Human Resources are processing the payrolls of Headquarters staff for payroll/taxes and reviewing approving the payroll of staff in the National Offices.
I had previously served on the credit committee from 2010 to 2016, and I was the chair of the committee in my last year as a volunteer.
I have successfully completed my high school diploma and advanced level studies in accounting and business, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from George Mason University.
I am avid fan of Football, and I support Manchester United. I play as well but not as much as my time between work, school and family does not allow that luxury. I also enjoy reading, listening to music, arts, outdoor activities, and meeting people.
In conclusion I consider myself to be a well rounded and personable individual and to this end I believe I will be able to help the Credit Union continue its goal of personal service to its members.
