“Jeff Hertrick worked at National Geographic interacting with global partners for 18 years. Now he is Director of Digital Strategy at the National Press Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to “making good journalists better” through no-cost training for reporters. The foundation awards fellowships to journalists from around the world and honors the best reporting with annual awards.”
Mr. Hertrick has experience in marketing, website operations, and staff management. He has decades of involvement in journalism, including videography, news reporting, video producing, and editing.
In addition to his credit union volunteer work since 2003, he has volunteered for the American Conservation Film Festival for the past 6 years.
Mr. Hertrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from West Virginia University, and he has taught masters level video journalism at Medill School of Journalism (Northwestern University) in Washington, DC.
As president of the National Geographic Federal Credit Union board, he led negotiations toward the successful 2018 merger into the OAS Federal Credit Union.
He became a member of the OAS FCU board in 2018 and was re-elected in 2019.
