Yacsire Cutler, a member of OAS FCU for 40 years, has served in various committees and was elected twice to the Board of Directors. The experience she acquired while on the Board, as well as the Human Capital and Assets and Liability Committees, will help the Credit Union to continue providing its members with the best possible service while maintaining a stable and solid financial position.
Ms. Cutler retired from the OAS after more than 25 years of service, first in the 1980s and from 1995 until 2016, having received the Leo. S. Rowe Memorial Award in 2017. She was elected twice to the OAS Staff Association, having served one term as its President. Ms. Cutler also held positions with the Venezuelan and U. S. Governments, as well as in the private sector.
Ms. Cutler has extensive experience in project planning and coordination, including financial and budgetary management of technical cooperation projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Her work entailed policy development, training OAS and governments’ staff, and negotiating and coordinating agreements.
Ms. Cutler holds a Bachelor in Sociology from the Andres Bello Catholic University in Caracas, Venezuela, and a Master of Arts in International Communication from American University.
