“I am interested in continuing being part of the Credit Committee to give back to the credit union and its members what I have received as a member: The confidence of knowing that my money is in a safe place, the support and guidance of the credit union staff in reaching my financial goals, and the sense of community that OAS FCU offers.”
My name is Juan Sebastian Ordonez. I began my professional career at the OAS in 2006. Before joining the Organization, I worked at a financial institution and an NGO in Colombia. After living and working in China for some time, I returned to the OAS in 2009.
I have been an OAS FCU member since my internship at the OAS in early 2006. I currently work in the Department of Financial Services, where I have been part of the staff for over a decade in various positions -most recently Manager of the Budget unit.
I have a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), an MBA from George Washington University, and a Financial Manager for Government certification from the Association of Government Accountants (AGA).
