“My extensive experience in the areas of banking and accounting will help me to serve the needs of the Credit Union and all its members as part of OAS FCU’s Credit Committee.”

My name is Joel Andrews, I am a citizen of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and I joined the OAS in 1999. My duties as Payroll Technician in the Department of Human Resources are processing the payrolls of Headquarters staff for payroll/taxes, as well as reviewing and approving the payroll of staff in the National Offices.

Prior to working in the OAS, I worked at Republic Bank Ltd. as an Accounts Clerk and Foreign Exchange Specialist.

In the past, I previously served on the Credit Committee from 2010 to 2016, and I was Chair of the Committee during the last year of my tenure as a volunteer.

I have advanced-level studies in Accounting and Business Management, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from George Mason University.

I am avid fan of Football and I support Manchester United. I play as well but not as much lately, since work, school and family do not allow that luxury so often. I also enjoy reading, music, arts outdoor activities and meeting people.

I consider myself to be a well-rounded and personable individual, and completely capable of helping the Credit Union continue its goal of excellent personal service to its members.
