David Rojas, a Colombian citizen joined the Organization of American States (OAS) in 2001 and worked for over 13 years for the Trust for the Americas, a non-profit affiliate to the OAS. Currently he works as a Senior Business Development Specialist for the Catalonia Trade and Investment Agency in Washington DC.
Mr. Rojas is a defined Program Management Executive with skilled expertise in the strategic execution of program design, development and implementation. Highly developed and credited with multi-faceted expertise in key relationship building, business development, personnel management, budget control combined with proposals presentation, source funding, international experience and solid information technology skills. Acknowledged with a respected and tenured track-record of well-honed organizational infrastructure excellence, support and strategic development. Compassionate, optimistic, sharp, visionary and team player.
Mr. Rojas plays a significant role developing and identifying business opportunities within the public sector of developing countries (mostly in Latin America and Africa), leveraging Catalonia Trade & Investment’s extensive prior experience and relationships with the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Pan-American Health Organization, the Organization of American States and the Millennium Challenge Corporation, among others.
Mr. Rojas holds a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering. Concentrations: International Marketing and Information Systems from Los Andes University, Colombia and an International Executive Master’s of Business Administration (MBA), from Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business,
Mr. Rojas has been part of the Credit Union Board of Directors since 2012, and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Technologyl Committee.
